Scientists in Georgia (the US state) have discovered a chemical which can help "erase" bad memories in experimental animals. While they say there's an obvious application for victims of post-traumatic stress disorder and the like, Joe Tsien tells us that "[N]o one should expect to have a pill to do the same in humans anytime soon. We are barely at the foot of a very tall mountain."
